The QuickBooks Mac (qbMac) development team has been hard at work making sure qbMac 2016 was compatible with High Sierra development builds since Apple started releasing them. Now that High Sierra has finally been officially released by Apple, we can. Before macOS High Sierra was released publicly, today, we couldn't talk about compatibility. So the question then is, were you forced to upgrade to Sierra? If not, revert to the version of OS X you were using so you don't have to pay for any software updates/upgrades. QuickBooks is always designed to run best only for the OS it was targeted for and one newer OS, which they'll patch it for.
